We are a industrial design studio that offers product design solutions, specially ?green solutions? and the BCK is one of our designed products. The BCK Solar Cooker is a foldable and portable container used for cooking food outdoors, using only water and sunlight. Users can get in touch with the use of solar energy in a natural way, thanks to a friendly design. It permits to heat water up to temperatures of around 90C which makes the preparation of different foods (rice, soup, pastas) possible. It also maintains the temperature of food which is an important advantage at night when there is no solar radiation. The design of the product respects the codes and language of this type of products used for camping and outdoor activities, in this way the user can incorporate its functional aspects and its operations very easily.The size of the cooker is very small: 250 mm of height and 130 mm of diameter. Solar energy, a clean and ecological energy source, is considered until now as experimental and rather uncommon in consumer products.
